Great Gatsby Hair Piece

"New York City 1922..." With the highly anticipated new Great Gatsby movie (released yesterday), the 1920s high society fashion becomes a top trend. The easiest way to achieve the luxurious (but affordable) look is to styling with a glittering headband. Gatsby hype seems to make wearing headpieces at all times appropriate - I've spotted them at work, at weekend brunch, and in bars. Cheers to the high life!

Lost Weekend NYC

There are several reasons why people love New York City. For me, one key reason is the abundance of independent coffee shops populating NYC streets at every corner. I usually get my morning coffee right around where I live (check out Culture Espresso in Midtown West). This weekend, however, I decided to venture out to the Lower East Side, where I've heard so much about a great coffee shop called Lost Weekend NYC. I was happily surprised by not only it's outstanding coffee, friendly barista, great music, but also the trendy crowd in the store. It's a perfect spot to relax and admiring the hip neighborhood!

Easy-to-Wear Spring Dress

Solid or print - that is the question. Dress is the easiest way to look pulled together with minimum effort. Paired with a cardigan for work or simply slip on delicate heels for events, these spring dresses from Reiss are vibrant, versatile and allow you to play to your own personal style!

Breakfast at Tiffany's

This weekend for some reasons I was craving for old, classic American movies. I ended up watching Breakfast at Tiffany's and was amazed by how little NYC had changed since 1961 in terms of social scene. For example, the little black dress is still the fashion stable and favored by New Yorkers. Here I put together two outfits (one dress-up and one dress-down version), inspired by Holly (played by Audrey Hepburn), the charming socialite in the film who styled the LBD perfectly!

Packing for Amsterdam

In just a couple of weeks, I'll be heading to Amsterdam for the tulip season. Other than visiting Keukenhof Gardens, I’m expecting a trip filled with exploring Amsterdam's famous ring of canals and charming mediaeval buildings, and taking in culture sites such as Rijksmuseum and Van Gogh Museum. The evening activities will center around experiencing Dutch culinary scene - visiting some newly opened spots offering high-concept meals. To prepare for this five-day spring getaway, here is my essential packing list:
